To support Units of Study teachers with blended or virtual didactics, Lucy Calkins and her Teachers College Reading and Writing Project colleagues have developed resources to be used with the Units of Written report in reading, writing, and phonics. These resource supplement the print units and offer means to adapt those units to virtual teaching environments.
Student-Facing Minilesson Videos
Nearly ane,500 student-facing minilesson videos across the Units of Study in reading, writing, and phonics. With these videos TCRWP staff developers will be "co-teachers" with you—they teach the minilessons on camera, freeing you up for the heart of the teaching: the live conversations, conferring, small group work, and shares you'll manage with your students.
Video Back up for Teachers and Parents/Caregivers

Note: the Virtual Teaching Resources are designed as a supplement to the print Units of Study series to help teachers adapt instruction for blended and virtual teaching. Teachers must have access to the print Units of Study to activate subscriptions to the Units of Study Virtual Teaching Resources and to successfully teach the Units of Written report in remote learning environments.
Units Included for Each Grade Level and Series
TCRWP 2020–21 Suggested Scope and Sequence
Each year the TCRWP publishes a recommended sequence of units for the year ahead. This year the recommended sequence reflects an awareness of the interrupted schooling that we all experienced in Jump 2020, but besides recognizes that we don't withal accept any firm understanding of what 2020–21 will bring. The virtual instruction resources accept been developed to support TCRWP'due south 2020-21 suggested telescopic and sequence. This sequence is designed to meet teachers and students where they are and assist them to quickly gain momentum in supported means as they navigate virtual and blended environments.

Subscription Details
- Subscriptions are available by grade-level and series (reading, writing, and phonics each offered separately); accessible for the 2020–21 school twelvemonth (July xx, 2020 – July xix, 2021).
- Subscriptions are not shareable. Each teacher must have their ain subscription.
- TCRWP Virtual Educational activity Resources subscriptions are bachelor ONLY to users of the Units of Study who take active Online Resource accounts and who have registered their print Units of Study books in their Online Resources accounts. Educators will exist required to register their impress units before they volition be able to access respective UOS Virtual Education Resource (detailed instructions on how to annals are included in the frontmatter of the impress Guides and Unit Books).
